Allan Gardyne

Have you heard of that apparently mythical guy who lives by the beach and makes a living from affiliate programs? That's him. The story is true.

He is a former journalist. He lives with my wife, Joanna, at Rainbow Bay, in sub-tropical Queensland, Australia.

If you read stories saying that he lives at Tuan, a tiny fishing village so small it doesn't have a shop ... well, that used to be true. Then he bought an apartment overlooking Golden Beach, and more recently one at Rainbow Bay.

Joanna and Allan run AssociatePrograms.com, a comprehensive directory of affiliate or associate programs, launched in January, 1998.

Allan set up a hobby/business on the Internet in 1996 because he wanted to be my own boss. Since then he has made a lot of mistakes and gone up a few dead-end alleys – failing forward, as the optimists say – and eventually quit his day job in December, 1998.

He turned a hobby into a thriving business which now has two full-time employees and a fluctuating number of part-time employees.

"I don't just write about affiliate programs. I work at this stuff. Nearly all of our revenue comes from affiliate commissions. You don't have to make the mistakes I did. Life's too short for that." says Allan

To learn how you can make a good living with affiliate programs, subscribe to the Associate Programs Newsletter. It's crammed with insider tips and reviews of affiliate programs.

It gives tips from the winners – people who are earning good money TODAY – from affiliate programs.

He founded PayPerClickSearchEngines.com, the first directory of pay-per-click search engines. If you're looking for highly targeted, cost-effective advertising occasionally as cheap as one cent per click, that's the site to go to for information.

Another of his sites is LifetimeCommissions.com, the first directory of affiliate programs that pay lifetime commissions or residual commissions. He likes being first to do something new.

KeywordWorkshop.com, run by Jay Stockwell, is another one. It's the most comprehensive site on the Internet for reviews of keyword research tools, which are essential for anyone who has a business on the Internet.

He also owns a number of other affiliate-driven sites on a variety of topics. They derive their income from affiliate commissions and Google AdSense.

"It's a nice way of living. You can live and work from wherever you like, being your own boss." says Allan

Thursday, 3 August 2006 - Damon G. Zahariades from WebBusinessToday says: I've been a subscriber to Associate Programs since issue #30. Amazing stuff. I still don't understand how you do it every week. Excellent content! Not only do I learn about the best affiliate programs on the market but I get to see the style with which you promote them. It's like a weekly marketing lesson filled with the exact content I'm looking for. Keep up the great work. And thanks for the inspiration. - 60.240.160.219

Friday, 4 August 2006 - Paul Massell, .onlineshopping.net says: Just a note to again thank you for the quality of your efforts. Your site and your newsletter are the best in your field. It is a truly rare thing to find quality information on the web these days. You normally have to wade through vast rivers and mountains of fluff to find anything useful and when it comes to anything related to opportunity seekers it is almost completely impossible - there is just so much complete garbage. I don't want you to think that this is some sort of come on - I truly appreciate the fact that your site and newsletter actually offer something of value. I receive several email newsletters and without exception they are full of advertisements and almost completely devoid of useful information. Yours is the opposite. - 60.240.160.219
