Ident-A-Kid As an Ident-A-Kid Franchisee and Program Director, you provide Ident-A-Kid Cards to parents through programs in public and private schools and other locations. The IDENT-A-KID Card is a wallet sized, hard plastic, heat sealed identification card containing a child’s photo, fingerprint, and physical description. It is recommended that parents keep these cards with them at all times as they do their driver’s license and update them annually. In an emergency, parents should provide law enforcement agencies with the card. IDENT-A-KID Services of America, Inc. created the child ID industry in 1986. Over the last 20 years they have built a network of over 200 franchises with a time tested business model. This model includes marketing techniques that get results, the latest technology to process over 100 children per hour and process over 500 cards per hour, and a royalty-free cost structure for our franchisees. The child ID cards sell for $6.00 each. The direct cost to produce a card using our new digital process is about 40¢. As a Franchisee, you promote your business to schools from your home-based office. This results in low overhead and gives you time flexibility to meet family or other commitments. The cost of the franchise is $24,900 including an exclusive territory, equipment, inventory and training. Territories are based on population which are about half of a congressional district. Your package includes all the equipment, supplies and software you need to operate your business. Also included is enough initial inventory to provide marketing materials to 6,000 students and produce 3,000 finished cards. Training is comprehensive and includes an operations manual, instructional CDs, two to three week’s telephone pre-training, and two full days of personal training at our national franchise training center. |
